    laminate is cheaper, but it's also easier to replace and looks just as nice.

    We've got both in our flat and I'd take real wood over laminate any day. If you've got small children who might scratch the floors (scissors are fun!!) its impossible to buff / sand the damage out of laminate.

    i've always told ms. b to never waste hard wood, it doesn't matter if it happens at 3:00 am or if her mother is on the phone.

    i would be concerned with delamination. :chinese:
