And I didn't see anything about his play that would suggest him being better at RG.

If we get a tackle in the draft then Wharton slides to guard and we are OK. If we draft a guard then Wharton stays at tackle and we are OK. We have to add a lineman in the draft who can play right away but we already knew that.

I think we were hoping that we could just throw some shit against the wall and hope for something to stick. Like putting Kalil at RG last year. Bad idea.

I don't know how. We save $2.25 in salary and workout bonus. But there is still $3 million in pro-rated bonus money that accelerates. Unless we can deem him a June 1 cut and push that to next season. But i thought we used that up on Wahle and Morgan.

I just hope they can get their man Clady in the 1st round now, but that's looking like a longshot unless they can work a trade with somebody to move up. To me, him and Williams are the only real options for a LT in the 1st. I just can't see them investing a 1st round pick on a 340lb mauler like Otah, if they're going to stick with the zone plays.

Actually, trying to trade down again, and getting a guy like Albert is also looking like a pretty good scenerio now. They could still probably land another OT in the second...maybe a guy like Cherilus. The only problem is that he probably wouldn't be ready to play on the left side, but we still have Wharton, so it wouldn't be a disaster.

    Yeah. It does look good.

At this point, I like the idea of trading down, too.
