    yeah, it's always hard to tell when somebody gets a joke on the board because the proper response to many of them in a head shake. i shook my head. but i also thought you were making a point.

    I cannot understand the fascination with this. Ive tried reading the books and watching the movies at the insistence of my neighbor, who is the last guy I'd expect to be a fan of this stuff.

    IMO, it's awful. It's not as much bad as it is painfully boring and pointless. Then I have to sit through discussions of how it's on par with Tolkein. Guh!

    Unfortunately, that is classicly false. You probably heard your pastor say he heard it from the Pope that she admitted to being a witch. The Interweb has a LOT of transcripts of shows like Today available, and there is nothing like that in any of them.
