Prove The Bible is fiction. There's more evidence that proves The Bible is real than your claims of fiction.

First off, I'm not a loon. It just amazes me that when someone stands up for what is moral and good, he gets characterized as crazy person. I guess the Books of Judges and Matthew is correct when it says that people before the coming of Christ will "Do what is right in their own eyes" and will "turn against Jews and Christians with a perpetual hate."

As I was watching Today on NBC last fall, while getting ready for work, I heard Katie Couric and Matt Lauer ask Rowling how did she capture the imagination of the readers and if she had any personal experiences with the Book. Her reply was that she practices Wicca and learned many things to write the series to the point that she can make the reading come alive. I dont remember the day and time... But it was mentioned last fall. When said the word Wicca, it told me she's a witch and this is being used as a tool to promote witchcraft.

When Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins wrote the Left Behind series, they were trying to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and professed to be born-again Christians. When a person says they're Wiccan and writes a series of witchcraft-related novels, then it has to be a promotion of some form of witchcraft.

"If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and waddles like a duck.....ITS A DUCK!" Do the math.

Dude, he's just 10...I dont want him having nightmares. Its hard enough to get him to sleep let alone be freaked of stories of gang-murders, sexual assaults, and staff assaults. But I did give him the autobiography of former UNC head coach, Dean Smith...Just the read for a young UNC fan that was too young to remember a true legend.

I do happen to agree that there is an over-reaction in public schools (& elsewhere) against Christian readings & study. Since Christianity is the most prominent of religions in the U.S., the whole "separation of Church & State" thing makes people antsy about any discussion of it in schools. Damn shame, since it's a huge part of our history & sociology.

It's ALWAYS been a way of life, a philosophy, a religion. This is nothing new. The NAME is relatively recent in history. The way of life is ancient.

People are never "indoctrinated" into witchcraft/Wicca etc. People who consider themselves "witches" or "Wiccan" or "pagan" abhor proselytizing & indoctrination, & even try to repel supposed "seekers" when they don't seem serious about learning.

And anyone who is truly familiar with these belief systems knows that the characters & ideas depicted in the Harry Potter books/movies are PURE FANCY. Nothing like the real thing.

I think if your "faith" won't stand up to reading/exploring dissenting views--especially if they're only FICTION--it's a pretty damn weak faith. It's one thing to be disinterested in something. It's quite another to be afraid of it.

I think the books are brilliant, & the movies damn entertaining. Whenever I actually have enough time, I'd like to explore the literary criticism that has come out on this series. These stories seem to me to qualify as enduring mythology, & be worthy of study.
