I hop over there every now and then. They make me feel smarter than I am!
Someone has been fucking with the board though. Hacked up a bunch of post really bad. You can't read half of them after a certain point. Wonder if Larry got that taken care of yet?

How this for a crazy idea...

Trade Weinke and our 2nd and 3rds to Detroit for the #3 pick. Think they would go for that? Me neither. It would probably take Weinke and the rest of our draft - 2-7s. Is it worth that to get Harrington and Peppers? Maybe not.

Either way I think the Panthers will be looking for a backup qb in this draft. Possibily as early as the third round. (Josh McCown or Rohand)

    McCown - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfldraft/tracker/player?id=4198

    Davey - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfldraft/tracker/player?id=4188

    Fasani - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfldraft/tracker/player?id=4190

For some reason, I like McCown. I don't really know why.

Rohan Davey is stupid. I think Vick may be a bust for the same reason. Remember the news last year that Vick's Teammates couldn't understand his dialect in the huddle?

One guy that is really kinda intriging is Fasini. He has good size and mobility and in a couple of years may just be able to contribute. He is definately worth a look as a developmental pick. I see McCown in a similar mold as well, although he hasn't shown production against bigtime competition like a Fasini has at times. Fasini can really throw it - he just needs consistency and more reps.

nope, that's not at all possible. It would take 2, 3, 4, and next year's #1 at the very least. We'd actually probably have to trade up into rd 1 and trade that pick as part of the trade. Totally unreasonable price for something we're not absolutely sure we need.

Fasani's a good project but he's never beaten anyone. He's so Gio Carmazzi right now, he's got a good arm, the right size, the smarts, and half the time he can't hit his targets within a fairly strong margin of error. Having The Next Great Thing Teyo Johnson as his receiver really helped. Johnson at 6'7, 245 is smart, bigger than most college linebackers and faster than a good deal of his opposing corners

McCown's a good 4th round pick where we're at but I'd probably look no higher.

    mvm,
Totally agree on Teyo. That guy is a real talent. He really made Fasini look good many times but I still think (being that we are talking about a late round guy) Fasini has some tools that can be developed.

Speaking WR prospects - there are a ridiculous amount of GREAT WR prospects in the next few drafts...
Andre Johnson, Teyo, Roy Williams, Charlie Rogers, Lee Evans, Paul Arnold, BJ Johnson, Kelley Washington, etc...

Actually all of the above are probably all 1st round guys (maybe excluding BJ)
