wow, i totally disagree about the story. i find it confusing and a not at all engaging. the first one the story unfolded nicely and got introduced you to the world at a very pleasent pace. this one is very much like "here you go -- get killing". there's one point in the story that seems totally cheesy (when the two arcs come together). just didn't get what the fuck was going on.

also, in the first halo, wasn't it a real big deal to not let the covenant find earth and yet in halo 2, right away they're on earth!?

If you knew anything about game development...

When you play Halo on PC, in the credits at the beginning you see the animation for the company called gearbox.

They developed the port from the Xbox console version to be able to run it on PC.

Bungie will not develop it for PC. Although if they were smart, they would integrate the PC-multiplayer and Xbox-multiplayer so it would be cross-platform and everyone could play on bungie.net no matter what your platform was.

I am a huge PC gamer and can rock on a keyboard and mouse 10x over a frickin controller.

This time they better give me better resolution options on the PC version.

    My disappointments with the game:

    1) I am big on story line, but as I progress through the game, it seems to be getting repetitive. The opening sequence with the Covenant was awesome, and I was stoked on the first Arbitor mission. However, Im not sure how far along I am in the game as a whole. I have heard the ending sucks. But I have also been told that if you beat it on legendary, the ending is totally different and gives you more insight on a potential Halo3.

    2) I hate paying for Xbox Live. No other online gaming community charges for their shit. PC or PS2. I hate that when you buy prepaid cards at the store, you are still required to enter your CC number for renewal. If I want to renew, I'll give you my card number if and when I need or decide to. But dont require me to give it to you when/if you dont need it.

    3) Disappointed in the graphics. I was hoping for some fully rendered FMV sequences like so many games are doing these days. Again, see #1 re: "big on story line."

    4) To play a MP coop game, you have to be on the same Xbox console. So me and a friend of mine in California cannot play co-op mode together. This is stupid.

All-around great game, but there are some big things that they missed out on when making a sequel bigger, better, stronger, and faster.

    Update....WARNING! SPOILERS!

So Im playing last night....and it's getting really intense...and Im fighting Tartarus on the way to whoop the shit out of Truth...kick ass cutscene of Halo activating.

Master Chief radios in to the Admiral while flying in to Earth...I take a sip of my drink and get ready to kick some ass because by this time I am wound up and ready to rock....and....

    :saywhat:

the credits rolled. WHAT THE FUCK?! I actually stood up in my living room at 1am and yelled WHAT THE FUCK at my TV.

Cool idea for the cliffhanger, but there wasnt near enough gameplay for the hype that this game received. Put aside the whole multiplayer aspect of it, which is fucking awesome, but...

I dont know...I was expecting a bit more gameplay on earth this time, on the streets with more Marine vehicles. But it seemed like the whole time (like in the first game) we were constantly on Halo and the convenant ship(s).

Yep. Kinda bogus. I feel that this game fills the same sort of role as Back to the Future 2. It's basically a bridge between part I and part III, with not a whole lot in and of itself. A little disappointing, but it was fun while it lasted. I'll still try it again on Legendary though.
