    1) No cell phones, unless you are a doctor you do not need to sit on the bench reading the paper or talking on the cell phone while others wait patiently to use the equipment you are sitting on.

    2) Don't yell. I don't need to hear you clear across from the other end of the gym.

    3) Don't train 11 people at once. (Some guy is apparently training kids at my gym and was surrounding by 11 people one day).

    4) Wear deodrant. Nothing worse than working out and someone walks by and you get a wiff of bad B.O.

    5) Do not wear collared shirts or jeans to work out in, dorks!!

:applause: Yes, indeed! One - well, actually two - of my pet peeves is getting to the leg press station and finding two 100-pound plates someone has left on the barbell. They are much too heavy for me to put back on the rack. Oh, and sweaty, sticky equipment! Yuck! Thank goodness Gold's Gym has rags and 409 to wipe down the seats and rails.

    And let me add.
    • Message for men - If you see a woman wearing headphones while working out, she is most likely listening to music - not you. Please don't pester.
    • Don't monopolize the cardio equipment. You should limit your workout on the treadmill, elliptical machine, etc. to 30 minutes during peak times at the gym!!

Some personal trainers with their clients at the gym are always lingering and chatting at the same machine for way too long, kinda makes you feel like a second class citizen sometimes.

Why do some men grunt so loud? One fella I could hear all the way across the top floor.

attract attention to themselves. I've noticed it normally happens when the person is trying to impress a female

Not necessarily. I grunt, but only when I'm on the final rep and heavy weights are involved. To me it has more to do with exertion than attracting attention.

I pretty much agree with the rest of your rules though
