If you have 3 McDonald's All Americans starting for you you should beat a school like Gardner Webb by more than three no matter who they lost the previous year. I think they'll enter the ACC at 8-2 or 7-3 though. Their schedule is relatively weak and they'll get blown out by Michigan State and Illinois, and should lose to USC.

Bullshit. I knew going in Gardner-Webb would be a challenge. They returned 4 starters and an upperclassman to a team that dominated their conference last year. They start 4 Srs and a Jr. They have experience against a UNC team that was obviously gonna have jitters. Are the Tar Heels world beaters this year? Hell no, but to say Gardner Webb sucks is a massive mistake. To put it in perspective Gardner Webb could've beaten Boston U. Furthermore I say they'll beat Illinois. All they've returned that's worth a damn is Dee Brown who will be adjusting to returning to the point. They're extremely overrated.

I don't think he said they suck, and yes the do have experience and are a good team, but I agree with him, we should have beat them by more than 3.

Dude you've got to understand that opening game you're starting 5 guys that've never started before 3 of which are freshmen. They're gonna come out with jitters and not play smart basketball early. That's part of the reason you play cupcake's early on. Seriously no lie, going in to this game was afraid the team would possibly lose. Not winning a close on, but lose. I'm not disappointed in this game. It's simply a brick in the wall that's being built. Once its built and is sturdy this will be a solid team.
