    I'm almost positive that's right, and if Mayock, you, and even I are getting that then what front office is not going to and fall for a desperate trade up? The panthers would just have to take whatever deal that would pop up, even if it's not "fair" and is way under that value formula thang. Personally, I would rather have a top 10 player (at an appropriate price) than a reach at 50+ million guaranteed, and whatever pick/player would just be icing. Seriously, with those top 8 or 10 guys being so even why wouldn't it make enough sense in this particular screwed up draft to just swap an interested party our 1 for their top 7 or 8 along with whatever they offer? It's a little like getting ANYTHING for Peppers instead of a huge glaring ZERO. Sometimes you are not in a position to be picky and this could be one of those times IMO.

    A sounds to me that you may have come out ahead on a single point against him and now must dwell on that as your lone victory. That's pretty sad.

    which is ironic cause part of the appeal of this board from the get-go (for me atleast) was that we could blast in colorful language when we disagreed..
