He is negotiations to allow Notre Dame to join the ACC in everything but football. Notre dame football will have to play some ACC teams and eventually join the confernce within the next decade. Notre Dame is NOT bigger than the ACC nor any other major conference.

Especially after their TV contract and BCS exemption expires. But you're right. If they come on board, football can't get an exemption - at least for the long term it can't.

Norte Dame in the ACC would be like Miami in the BIG EAST; Geographically speaking their travel cost for the other sports outside of football & basketball would go thru the roof . . . Its going to cost an arm and a leg for the ND softball team to travel to Clemson & their track & field team to travel to Charlottesville for a meet . . . . They need to join the BIG EAST or BIG XII and both conferences need to say 'your in all the way or not!!!' . . None of this pick and choosing which sport you want to exempt   . .

Norte Dame to join the ACC? We Shall See :) . .

Yeah, like Notre Dame doesn't have the cash flow for travel expenses...

I'd rather have someone besides ND in the ACC. These arrogant fucks need to stay independent and keep having mediocre seasons. They can't even beat Michigan State, I can't imagine them having to play Miami, VT, and FSU every year.

Well I for one would rather see somebody local to the southeast.
    ECU, Marshall or whoever.

Why do all you Carolina goofballs keep asking for ECU? Because there's someone actually WORSE than Carolina in football?

fever isn't alone with this opinion. It's funny how most ACC fans would love to see ECU or South Carolina in the conference but the administrators would not hear of such an idea. There are only so many TV markets and adding, say Boston isn't going to guarantee the ACC major coverage and extra $$$.

I just prefer somebody from the south east. Actually Florida would be my first choice but I don't ever see them leaving the SEC.
