how do ya'll grill yours? foil or not? in the husk or not?

i tried some in the husk with no foil that had been soaked in water the other week, and i'm looking for pointers on a better way.

melt some butter, add salt and pepper, pull back husk and brush with butter, recover with husk and grill

usually I just soak and grill

only time I've used foil is when for whatever reason it was already shucked

I've never mastered grilled corn, never like it. I prefer to steam mine in a little "sugar" water. Makes it sweeter. But if someone is the master of grilled corn, I'd like to hear how.

Honestly, I just usually throw it on the grill straight from the store. Maybe soak it but usually not.

fill a large cooler halfway with water and pour in four or five beers. Immerse the corn (in husk) and let it soak for a couple hours.

this is a modification of builder's recipe. His calls for urine instead of beer.

i've always pulled back the husks and put butter, salt and pepper inside, then re-husked -- then cover with foil. mmmm...
