The wrapper makes an excellent seal to hold in the marinade though. You first remove the cheese, then soak said cheese in the marinade and re-wrap in original plastic. After an hour, your cheese should have retained its basic squareness and will be perfect for grilling.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling a little crazy, I don't even cook the cheese. Just dip it in the marinade sauce...put it on the bread and eat it. Sort of like a cheese sushi. Haven't gotten sick yet...

I make toast and use easy cheese in a can. seriously, its way less complicated than going through the hassle of marinating the cheese and all that messy butter. :hump:

Peanut Butter also makes a good cheese substitute.

Whenever I do this, I hold the sandwich with my pinkies sticking out and say "au jus, au jus" a lot.

The best marinade for cheese is actually not a marinade at all. Try the Cajun injector instead just make sure that you DO leave the wrap on. That Cajun shit burns if you squirt it all the way through the cheese and get it in your eye.
