Green Bay OL Coach Vows Revenge

    I'm siding with Piper on this one. Was the hit necessary? Probably not. But it was clean, and Piper's right. Every NFL football player is taught from J.V. on to play from snap to whistle. And I think Piper's also right that because cut-blocking is still legal (although I have no clue as to why), a D-lineman is more than willing to take a clean shot on an O-lineman if he gets the chance. I have no problem with that at all.

    What if Sapp would have missed the block (or took it easy) and Clifton made a tackle? The press would be all over Sapp for missing the block or dogging it.

    yeah, and those type blocks get made all the time. If Sherman hadn't whined and acted like he was going to step to a Pro Bowl DT in full gear it wouldn't have mattered past the injury concern itself.

    You know what would be really funny?

    Green Bay loses the NFC title game and Sapp, Gramatica, and Saurerbrun all make the Pro Bowl.
