Greatest MLB Team Collapses

    After what happened on the last day of the regular season, I got to thinking of the worse collapses by a MLB Team that I could remember. Here's two that come to mind very quickly:

    1964 Phillies ....... Had a 6 1/2 game lead in the National League (before Division play) with 12 games to play and proceeded to lose ten in a row to lose the title to the Cardinals. I still have my World Series ticket to game seven. Had to live with that one for years ................ until

    2007 Mets ......... On Sept 12 they had a 7 game lead over the Phillies and within 18 days, they not only lost the title to the Phillies, but played their way out of the playoffs. LOVED that one!
