Ace, some of the best songs ever written don't include lyrics, jazz, classical, and the best part of any song is the solo or psuedo interprative part, most of the time I believe words fuck up music. One could probably convey what they are trying to, just by penning some super killer tune, but alas, these days we are so accustomed to American Idol and kareoke, that it's probably ingrained somewhere in your head that a song HAS to have lyrics; and you are referring to "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed", written by Dickie Betts, and is no longer an ABB song! It's a Great Southern song.

I was kidding :twocents: I like the song. I like the band. But they're not the 'greatest' by any means.

i was thinking of them the other day. the fathers of heavy metal. given the popularity of that style of music, they are certainly influential.

1973-1979 KISS? Yes...I could. No one was putting out music that sounded like God of Thunder, Detroit Rock City, Black Diamond, etc...No one had the stage shows like this. Even Cooper's, while they were a production...they weren't on the same scale.

    KISS after 1980? Blech...
