Because music sucked so bady in the 80s (with exceptions, Iron Maiden for example) my taste in music remained pretty much rock from the late 60s and 70s and still does today. I really don't understand what you're trying to say. do you think classic rock is no good or do you think because someone isn't willing to embrace today's music, they have no "taste"? I just think the older music is better.

Alot of 80's people actually still think Def Leppard, Winger, etc are good.

It's like an appreciation for music beyond what everyone else listens to at the moment skipped my sibblings altogether.

I liked the first couple Def Leppard albums (kinda) but lost interest pretty quick. for the most part I hated the hair bands. I think the only reason to listen to that shit was a lot of the women liked it.

The hairbands were fun...and chicks dug them. Def Leppard's High n Dry and Pyromania were good...I play guitar, and the best guitarists seemed to play in these bands (money). Dokken for example.

But the 80's also brought Iron Maiden, Dio's solo career, Metallica, Megadeth, Queensryche, plus a ton of other bands.

Who now is more than a flash in the pan?
