Some very important information on award nomination deadlines, tickets and more.

I wanted to take a couple of moments to send a reminder about some of the key aspects of the 1st Annual Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Dinner, a preseason banquet to celebrate the success of youth baseball and softball in the community. In case you aren’t aware, the first ever Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Dinner will be held January 26, 2008 and our keynote speaker will be Grady Little, former Manager of the Los Angeles Dodger and Boston Red Sox. Many other current and former professional baseball players will be in attendance, including local rising stars David Mailman and Ryan Morris. For full information on the event and to reserve your seat, please visit www.hotstovedinner.com

    Deadline Reminders:

All of our awards have a nomination deadline of December 31st. In order for a player to be considered for each award, the Nomination must be made no later than December 31st. The following awards will be made during the banquet.

Youth Softball Player of the Year
Youth Baseball Player of the Year
High School Softball Player of the Year
High School Baseball Player of the Year

For more information on the nomination process, please visit www.hotstovedinner.com and click on the Award Nomination Forms Link.

Two of these awards remain open for sponsorship. Sponsorship includes naming rights to the award (Company XYZ High School Baseball Player of the Year) and includes 2 tickets to the Hot Stove Dinner as well as recognition as the presenting sponsor. Cost is $500 to sponsor an award.

    Baseball/Softball Essay Contest:

For those parents with children that enjoy writing, we are also holding an Essay Contest with US Savings Bonds as prizes. Those rules are also available at www.hotstovedinner .com

The deadline for the Essay Contest is also December 31st.

The Essay Contest is open for sponsorship and includes naming rights to the contest and includes 2 tickets to the Hot Stove Dinner as well as recognition as the presenting sponsor. Cost is $700 to sponsor the Essay Contest

    Banquet Tickets:

We have sold over 60% of the available seats for the 1st Annual Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Dinner. Tickets may be purchased online at www.hotstovedinner.com
Don’t wait until it’s too late to secure your seat for this premiere event.

    Auction Items

We will also host a silent auction as part of the evening’s festivities. We hope to have well over 100 items from the sports and entertainment world as well as from local companies. We have on hand some very exciting items from major league baseball including signed jerseys, baseballs, prints, and hats. We also have items from Adam Sandler and other entertainment icons. If you have a product or items you would like to donate to our auction, please let me know. Our silent auction will help to raise funds to begin a baseball and softball program for physically challenged children through The Miracle League.

For those of you that coach teams or are involved with large groups of baseball and softball players and families, please be kind enough to pass this email on. Thanks for your support.

Thanks for your time, and we hope to see many of you on January 26th.

    Thanks
