praise the lord it's not an ACL. our RB's get hit by the injury bug way too much, can we not get a better physical trainer?

Carolina running back DeShaun Foster suffered cartilage damage and a bone bruise to his left knee and is expected to be out four weeks, ESPN reported. Tests showed that Foster's ACL was not damaged, but he may need to have the knee scoped at a later date.

Four or five weeks down the road, Foster will be the Carolina starter. Lamar Smith will get the ball opening day and until the rookie is healthy, but Smith shouldn't get too comfortable.

If it needs to be scoped, do it now rather than wait for the injury to be reaggravated.

I'd say clean that knee out now. Average recovery time on scoped knee these days is three weeks...he's already out for four, why not get it out of the way now. Granted, it might add a week or two to his recovery time, but it would save having him miss time later in the season. Plus, that could cause problems down the line if he comes back w/o getting it done now.

great news. let's hope that this isn't a precursor to a biakabutuka-like career.
