I stand corrected. I thought that the Grizz and Raptors had higher selections and bigger cap but, I was mistaken.

Okafor was an important loss, but it was at a position that the Bobcats had some depth. If Gerald Wallace had missed any significant time, however, they would have won a lot fewer games. Then don't even tell me that a healthy May would have made a difference. I'm a Carolina fan and even I thought it was ridiculous that the Bobcats drafted him where they did.
Change "could have easily won" to "may have had a prayer of winning" and you'd look less like a complete moron.
And your opinion on this is as valid as my friend's. For the record, I've only been to one Bobcats game (it was the one Keyshawn attended before the Dallas game) and the place was almost empty on a Friday night. By far the loudest the crowd got all night was when they booed Keyshawn.
How many times do I need to point out that unless you live in or around Charlotte (or whatever small ass area News14 reaches), you still can't see the games?
Only after them being raised dramatically prior to the season. It's not as if the Bobcats started with one price and then realized they needed to come down. They started with prices too high to begin with, then raised them significantly again after an 18 win season. They're only dropping prices now because they're humiliated and desperate.
They play harder than some teams, which isn't saying much, but it's still my opinion that they played harder last season. I did get to watch some games on TV then, and they always seemed much hungrier and motivated (especially on defense) than the times I have seen them this season. It's fine if you disagree, but I'm comfortable with my opinion.
That's true, but only marginally so. Toronto and Vancouver weren't kept out of the top three like Charlotte was, but they were locked out of the first pick for I think two years (maybe just the first, I'm not really sure). Both also had salary cap restrictions, although I don't think they were as severe as Charlotte's. That said, because those expansion teams came in together they had less of a pool of talent to draw from in the expansion draft, evening up some of that difference in difficulty. Then the fact that the NBA is so much worse today, especially in the East, makes a pretty compelling argument that Charlotte actually had it easier.
If you could learn to read, perhaps you'd notice that I already said that I wasn't talking about Felton and Wallace.
Shut the fuck up, you wrinkle-dicked cum-guzzler. I've already admitted that I'm no huge NBA fan and that my basketball knowledge is limited. Moreover, I don't need to try and become an expert at anything. I knew football when we were 1-15, I knew it when we went to the NFC Championship game that second year, and I knew it before the Panthers ever existed. But what I have said about the Bobcats is valid, and if you don't like me saying it, then become a little more knowledgeable yourself about the sport you supposedly like. Until then, stuff that cock back in your mouth and do your best not to annoy me any further.

Wait, didn't you just tell me they didn't meet expectations by winning 26 games? If they needed help from on high to win 35 games, what exactly was the magical sweet spot?

Then why, pray tell, are you arguing with people, such as myself, who are knowledgable about the NBA, and did follow the Bobcats all season?

I'll be the first to admit your football knowledge > my football knowledge, and while I may think your are extremely abrasive in the football forums, I'm certainly not going to get into a debate with you there about whether Thomas Davis should play SLB.

Conversely I watch and play a great deal of basketball, and I also either watched or attended at least 75% of the Bobcats game this year. So why are you in here saying "I'm right and you're not, even though I'm admittedly not that informed on the subject"?

And please I'm certainly not trying to pick a fight here, so let's not start the name calling just quite yet.

I said they didn't meet expectations, but that those expectations weren't reasonable anyway. I expected them to win about the number of games that they did, and while I don't view it as a disappointment, I found it laughable that you were trying to spin 26 wins as some kind of achievement.
#1) Because you aren't knowledgeable about the NBA. Don't make me laugh.
#2) Because you decided to be a complete dickhead and attack my opinion. How the fuck did you expect me to respond, shriveled scrotum?
Dumbfuck, that's exactly what you've been doing all along. It's your fault that this thread degenerated into what it did, because you knew exactly what you were doing when you insulted me and you knew exactly how I would respond. You got what you wanted, floppy cuntlips, so don't pretend like you're trying to be reasonable.

Yeah, yeah, I attacked you and called you an idiot. I've appologized. I'm trying to hold a reasonable conversation now. You don't seem interested. So nevermind.

By the way, you never did answer: "What exactly do you do?"

You never asked. I've been a research assistant while working on my Masters in Cultural Anthropology, something that (thanks to my thesis) should hopefully lead to a job with a major league organization fairly soon. In the meantime I also supplement my meager income with my nationally distributed fantasy football magazine (I don't technically own it, but I write nearly everything in it and am also the editor).

Sounds neat. What do you do with a Anthropology degree?

    And I did ask: http://thisboardrocks.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1548275&postcount=59

Hurrr. As much 'research' that you do in the football forum and you can't be bothered to look up anything here to keep from sticking your foot in your mouth. I'd say missing damn near 30 games is 'significant time,' would you?

I personally rate this thread an F.

The Bobcats weren't nearly the trainwreck this thread has become :satana: :satana: :satana:
