I would go to Cats games if lower level tickets were cheaper. I refuse to pay 85 bucks for lower level corner seats. The Hornets were cheaper. I remember a playoff game for the Hornets on a Saturday afternoon vs the Bucks where for 45 dollars we sat 5 rows back behind the Bucks bench.

Also they need to make me feel like I am not going to a thug hood uprising. I know they are supporting diversity and the african american population but you can do that tastefully.

The NBA is at perhaps its lowest level of quality, and there's no question that the East was embarrassingly weak this year. Now I predicted that they'd finish with fewer than 30 wins, so it's not like I'm surprised, but they can't exactly call 26 a success. Atlanta had 26 as well and they're certainly considered a disaster.

Oh and by the way, I already am something in the world, so there goes your theory.

As they say, stats never tell the whole story. Like the fact that in 89-90 the Hornets were a western conference team.

Ok then, throw that year out, and use year three (year two in the East, for continuity's sake). What was that record. 26-56, as I recall.

It's probably impossible to compare the Hornets of the late 80s and the Bobcat's of today. Other than Collins favorite piece of evidence of the east being weak, I think the most important thing to consider is the salary cap limitations put on this team. I dont remember (nor did my Jr High self care) what the salary cap was like in 1989. Did free agency even exist even close to its current form?

26 wins is an accomplishment considering the amount of games lost to injury. With no injuries( or atleast a resonable amount of games lost to star players) I think this team could have easily won 35 games and pushed for a playoff spot.

I'm a season ticket holder and the crowds were better this year( despite what your corporate friend with the free tickets says) both in actual attendance and the intensity in which the fans supported the team.

The Bobcats have made mistakes but, they realize the mistakes and correct them. Cset- gone. Ticket Prices-lowered.

They will never win over people that don't want to be won but, for the people that enjoy the NBA this team is something to be proud of.

They play hard (despite what you say) and I really don't even understand how you can know wheter they play hard or not- you obviously don't watch them on TV (CSET 2 years) and you rely on a friend to tell you about the actual game attendance/environment.

The team makes the players accessible to fans.

The team has never been in trouble. No drinking and driving, no fighting, no humiliating moments of any kind.

The team has had harder cap and lottery restrictions than any expansion team in recent history and they have managed to land the ROY last year, the runner up ROY this year, and the most underrated player in the NBA in Gerald Wallce. (only the 3rd player in NBA history to avg. 2blks and 2 stls a game Olajuwon and David Robinson are the others) you don't get steals and blocks by mailing it months ago- it's pure hustle.

In 3 years when this team is a force in the NBA you probally will try to become an "expert" on the Bobcats and try to argue your opinion into fact on this board like you do on the Panthers. If it's all the same- I prefer you focus your efforts on the Panthers and leave the Bobcats to the fans that actually care and have a clue about the team.

In Collin's defense, they have had it easier than previous expansion teams.

Both I agree with everything else you've said.
