12:16 pm | Bobcats win draft coin flip
    RICK BONNELL
    Staff Writer
The Charlotte Bobcats won a coin flip this morning with the Atlanta Hawks, guaranteeing the Bobcats will draft no worse then sixth in June.

The Bobcats and Hawks each finished the season 26-56, the third-worst record in the NBA. This coin flip broke that tie.

Yeah, really...What are the Bobcats? It's kinda hard to figure it out when you get to see less than 10 games in an entire season. I hope Bob Johnson figures it out someday that Charlotte professional teams do well when it is marketed on a regional level. The city itself isn't big enough to draw a consistant large crowd, especially after the mess that was left behind with the Hornets departure. He needs to tap into the surrounding cities in the Carolina region.

see Grant Hill .His was broke ,but sometimes a break is better than a sprain. Okafor just got the boot/cast removed. I spraigned mine several years ago and it was 7 months before could do anything athletic on it.

So, you actually admit that they did something to bring more people in. They saw what they did wrong and then took steps to correct it.

No Collin. C-Set lasted one year. They've been on News 14 & WJZY for all of season two.

I'm sure they sold a few more corporate tickets. But besides that, come back when you have something better than anecdotal evidence from your buddy. I went to quite a few games last year and this year. It did seem like there were more butts in the seats this year.

Once again, where's your reasoning behind this? They finished 6-3 in the month of April, which is the best stretch they've ever had. Hardly mailing it in.

Who were these people talking about 30 wins? And why are you listening to them? This was almost the exact same team as last year, except they had a couple of rookies (Felton and May). Even the team itsself said "if everything goes perfectly, we'll make the playoffs, but we're really targetting 25 wins.
For the 4 game winning streak, the only team they beat that wasn't playing their starters was Philly. In fact, they beat an Indiana team fighting for playoff positioning in the second half of a back-to-back set.
Collin, in this case, you are the clueless one.

First of all, how the front office's decision to hold some guys out reflects that the guys who were on the floor playing is beyond me.

Secondly, you admittedly don't know anything about May's cartilage injury (nor do I), so how can you comment on that?

And finally, Okafor had two sprained ankles. He hurt it, came back and re-sprained it.

Finally, you clearly haven't even followed the bobcats this season. You thought they were still on CSET, you're relying on your buddy for judging their attendance, and you don't know what happened with their players.

Dude, please tell me you've heard of this scam before. Raising your prices and later lowering them less than you raised them is not "a good thing," nor is it motivation for people with half a brain to start supporting the team. Are you so oblivious that you've never noticed this tactic in retail? Company X jacks up the cost of its goods and then has a "sale" so all the morons who believe they're actually getting a good deal can come in and waste their money, not realizing that the "sale price" is still far more than should have been charged in the first place. Moreover, you shouldn't pretend that lowering prices is somehow a legitimate effort to win fans over when they've already crapped on fans by charging unrealistic prices all along. They're not doing this because they care about cultivating a fan base, but because they're desperate since attendance at the low levels they've been getting could mean that the Bobcats either move or are contracted.
Fair enough, but most people in NC don't get News 14 and WJZY is just for the Charlotte area. If Johnson truly cared about generating regional interest in the team, he would have worked something out with Fox Sports South.
I liked how you tried to pretend you weren't wrong, and yet were smart enough not to lie by saying that the stadium wasn't mostly empty on weekdays or the team's attendance wasn't still among the worst in the NBA. My "buddy" isn't incorrect, and his anecdotal evidence is probably better than yours, as I imagine he has been to many more games (his tickets are corporate, so he can go for free whenever he wants).
I already pointed out that some of those games were deceiving because those teams were resting most of their starters. Yes, a win is a win, but it's just like when Green Bay beat Seattle in Week 17 last year. That didn't mean Green Bay made progress there at the end of the season, it meant that Seattle didn't care about winning that game and gave it away. You're absolutely correct that they beat a struggling Indiana team, but the other wins were all against the worst teams in the league - Atlanta, New York, and Toronto. So yes, Charlotte "proved" it was better and more hungry than three absolutely terrible teams that are mailing it in.
Most everyone was predicting more than 25 wins. Check the threads at TBR or the articles in the Observer.
Are you so stupid that you cannot read? I said "I don't have any idea how serious May's cartilage issue was," not that I don't know anything about such injuries. In fact, I specifically pointed out that injuries of that type generally only require 3-4 weeks of rest.

So basically you made a fool out of yourself by slamming me when I was only agreeing with something DJ_Tet said in his initial post:

You ran your mouth and tried to be a bigshot, but instead proved your own stupidity yet again. If you're satisfied with the direction the Bobcats are going in, good for you, but for you to pretend that the things I said weren't valid makes you look like a complete idiot. Johnson has screwed people with the ticket prices and the television deal, the organization did give up on the season by sitting a number of players, and they didn't do very well on the court either. If you like them anyway, fine, but keep your moronic mouth shut whenever someone else doesn't fall for their crap.

Owned? It's a fact that the Bobcats do have poor attendance, especially on weekdays, just as I stated. It's also a fact that a number of people both here and in the media were predicting more than 25 wins, but Clay wants to pretend like Charlotte exceeded expectations. It's also a fact that Johnson screwed over potential fans by charging outrageous prices for tickets and not having the games broadcast on a network that would reach a regional audience. It's also a fact that sprained ankles and knee scopes almost never keep players out as long as Okafor and May were, but hell, the team already admitted that they shut them down when they could have played (I don't mean rushing them back, I mean they should have been 100% long ago unless there were other injuries we didn't know about).
It's sad that you're too stupid to realize that Clay's only evidence was anecdotal as well. Seriously, you morons need to get together and have a support group. The way you pretend that I'm "owned" every time I actually hand someone else their ass is amusing. I guess you're so desperate for anything resembling a "win" against me that you're willing to pretend that a less vicious ass-whipping than usual counts. After all, it could have been worse. You could have pretended that I was "owned," like that colossal moron vpkozel, only to find out that the "ownage" he thought occurred was actually flat out lies from Applejack (notice how AJ hasn't posted much the last couple of weeks? It's because he's humiliated about being exposed as a liar regarding his supposed professional baseball experience, where he said he was the set-up man for John Smoltz in the minors even though Smoltz was never a closer in the minors).

kickazzz, if you talked less shit you probably wouldn't have to eat so much of it.
