Got NCAA Football 08 for XBOX 360 today.

I know what you mean. I've never had this much trouble with the computer's passing game. No matter what I call or what I do, some teams just shred me (while I can routinely shut out other teams on the same difficulty setting). I guess they wanted to make it much harder for teams to overcome the difference in talent.

 

In a game I just quit out of, I was leading in the fourth quarter despite several dubious fumbles and interceptions only to have a linebacker make a one-handed interception of a pass that was supposed to go to a receiver nowhere near him, and then watch him spin and stiff-arm his way out of six tackles on the way to the endzone. There are things I really, really like about NCAA '08, but it is by far the worst game I have ever seen for absolute cheapass bullshit like that.

 

Agreed. Have you found anywhere that fixes it using the sliders?

 

Maybe if I turned them all the way down, but I'm reluctant to try that since I don't want to eliminate all difficulty in the passing game. I reduced interceptions to 30 with no discernible difference, though. To compensate, I've just completely stopped throwing some kinds of routes.

 

Here's what I've found on the net. Some freaks out there spend all hours of the day working w/ the settings to get it as close as possible. Whole forums dedicated to it.

 

Please tell me that game is worth the 60 bucks. Id like to see all pro football 2k8, but the 2k crew at least get new announcers or different sayings, they never change that.

 

Ima big 2k5 fan.Still play mine with updated rosters from operationsports and the enhancement Pak that was created.NCAA 2008 on the 360 is really really nice.2K8...Iplayed it 10 minutes...TERRIBLE.Its a game you either love it or you dont.I just cant get down with generic teams.Even though they are folks who have created NFL teams with the uniform creator.Its not the same .I am A Washington Redskin fan and the Washington Indians ...just not the same.Madden 08...well see ...Madden 08 still no refs in the game...EA is lazy

 

I put interceptions on zero and I still get picked off with regularity. Bombs are essentially impossible unless the corner bites on play action because the computer almost always makes you under throw it no matter how much loft or lead you try to put on it. I hope they make a fix for the stupid amount of turnovers.
