Good season

When a head coach and quarterback, both playoff virgins, run into a team that has been to the NFCCG the last 3 years, and you get a couple bad calls, and you vomit 11 points up near the goalline on offense, and you give said opponent 45 free personal foul yards.....at that point, experience shows. So does a lack of it.

Very unfortunate close to a very special 3 months.

 

The missed opportunities are tough to take. I think SF would have been fucked had we made it 14-6.

 

And yeah, you have to play hard but you can't take it over the top. I applaud TD for getting the defense together and telling everyone to knock it the fuck off.

It's really just coming from the secondary though. There seems to be a big Napoleon complex back there.

 

It seemed in the first half that the ol was doing a decent job as Cam held the ball, but as the game went on Cam seemed to be holding it longer and longer.
It was depressing on the goalline when Wharton got knocked on his ass and took out Tolbert to boot.

 

Some expendable parts on the back-end. Wouldn't be shocked if Mitchell stays, but the Florence showed his age. Munnerlyn played hard, but did not make an impact play.

Josh Thomas should be tar & feathered in downtown SFO.

Boldin could have easily been flagged 3-4 times for unsportsmanlike. But, my aunt doesn't have a dick.

If we insist on being a power team, we need a real blocking fullback. Tolbert is fucking bull but he's not a lead blocker. Brockel sucks at it (and everything else). Replace Brockel with a guy who can lead block and contribute on special teams. We don't have any blocking TE's either. You have to have the personnel to do what you want. You can't just click your heels together and hope it will happen.

 

This is exactly what the NFL was hoping for.

 

I think Gross comes back if we want him, and if it's for a respectful price.

 

Maybe, but his agent specifically restructured his contract to void only if he remained with the Panthers as of this February or whenever. So either he doesn't want to be in Carolina or he doesn't want to play anymore.

 

If it's one of those, I'm going to take him at his word and believe it's not playing anymore. He reiterated today that he won't play anywhere else...doesn't want to...
