good rule of thumb

    if you're gonna be working out, a good rule of thumb i've always heard. if something contains more protein than fat then its ok to eat. for instance, peanut butter. pretty high fat content, but loaded with protein. when lifting, protein is golden, and as long as there is plenty of it, then you can afford to trade off a little fat. as with anything, don't overdo the fats and watch the calories.

    plus the fat in peanut butter is the "good fat." the 80's have traumatized people into thinking all fat is bad...

    Martha Crumpton used to say that those rolls around her tuppy were "good fat" too.
