Good Charlotte

    I heard of this band for the first time yesterday. Being a Panthers fan I was attracted by their name, then today I downloaded "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" from Kazaa, and they sound OK. It's a track from their "The Young and the Hopeless" album which isn't being released in the UK until February 2003! They're touring the UK at the moment, but nowhere near where I live. Anyone know anything about them? Are they any good? Are you there TW1G?

    All I know is that they are on MTV every like 10 minutes. Dunno why. It's like MTV is trying to push them on us for some reason. They sound pretty much just like any standard 20 year-old punk wannabes...

    hey guys!! Just been busy with basket ball practice.. Good Charlotte IMO is ok.. pop punk at it's best. Two brothers, Benji and ... I can't remeber the other ones name. They've got a good following. They played the warped tour this year here in the states and actually were in charotte last week @ Tremont Music Hall... I was going to go and see them jus too busy.. try if you like them try "New Found Glory" they sound a lot alike.. When it comes right down to it these guys are pretty much just an evolution of the boy band.. I can actually put up with these guys because of there roots in punk. oh there best song is probably "Motivation Proclamation"... I think I spelt that right...

    I've heard a bit more of Good Charlotte since my original post (and read an article in Kerrang! - everybody knows Kerrang!, right?), and TW1GGY's is a pretty good quote. They're 'OK', and being 'too busy' to see them in Charlotte shows how ordinary they really are. I'm disappointed because, with a name like theirs, I wanted to like them.

    I downloaded a live track called 'Story Of My Life' (possibly a bootleg) which made me cringe - the first two minutes with the band talking to a obviously young, screeching audience. I couldn't stand in the pit with screaming kids around me!
