    i've done it years ago. i saw four weddings and a funeral. i was pissed so i went out late that night and saw that movie.

    it was pitiful. i sat alone and i looked funny bec i am short and little and looked like i ran away from home and have no place to go.

    fuck going to the movies alone. i hate it. but i did it again for the second time and cried. sat in the back. the very back.     :(

    You have to when you're alone and single. SO yes, I have been there. But not like on a Saturday night. THat's just pathetic.

    I usta go to the $1.00 matinee on Fridays; until the movies got so piss-poor that they weren't even worth a buck/fuck, IMO. Haven't been to a flick since Leaving Las Vegas was out. It's a shame when you feel "ripped off" after seeing a movie for a $1.00.

    I'll go to the matinees if its something my girlfriend doesn't want to see and all my friends already have. I also have done it before as a way to cool down after I'd mowed the lawn one summer.

    I love going to the movies by myself. It's totally relaxing to me- not having anyone to talk to, I can have all the popcorn to myself, not worry about my fidgeting bothering anyone.... somehow I feel very adult and grown up when I see a movie by myself (I'm 30- you'd think I'd feel grown up anyway!)

    The movies I like my wife wouldn't and my daughter is too young. Now that I am temporarily out of the house for an extended period in Nashville I have thought about catching up on some movies that I missed. But I thought it would feel weird on a Friday night going to the movies on my own. Although I felt the same way when I first started to travel heavy and had to sit in a restaurant and eat dinner by myself. Got over that. If you have to eat by yourself, get a newpaper and read.

    I go to the movies alone when I'm out of town, good way to get out of the hotel room. As far as eating alone, I usually eat the bar.

    Yuck, try eating at the bar next time, it's much easier on the colon.

    Going to movies by yourself is actually cool. I've done it on several occasions.
