precisely and no one every not cooked or drove to church or any of that stuff. However closing on sunday is still very noble of them. Publix markets did that when the old man was alive, soon as he croaked the kids went after that money.

And there would be the entire problem with religion in today's world. People who could not rationalize thier way out of an oversized walk-in closet deem themselves able to interprete the ancient scripture. How do we all like the interpretations of Osama bin Laden? Or that freak Eric Rudolph?

Read the damn book and let it lie....

What I find somewhat confusing is the fact that the true Sabbath day is Saturday, the 7th day, the Holy day of rest. Why do Christians observe the Sabbath on Sunday?

    The following cited from http://atschool.eduweb.co.uk/sbs777/course/lesson13.html

The seventh day of the week, the day commonly known as Saturday, is the Sabbath day of YAHWEH the Almighty God of Israel. It was ordained of God as a day of physical rest for all mankind, and the obligation to observe it arises from:
    1- Yahweh's own example
2- His act of blessing the seventh day
3- His explicit command to keep it holy.

Furthermore, look at Saturday in other languages:

    Italian: Sabato
    Spanish: el sábado
    Portuguese: o sábado
Russian: в субботу (surely something similar to Sabbath)

Which is correct, the traditional calendar that starts weeks with Sunday and ends with Saturday, or the one in my day planner that starts with Monday and the seventh day is Sunday? Should Chick-Fil-A close on Saturdays and not Sundays?

    I am confused.

God help us all if Chick-Fil-A founder and CEO Truett Cathey ever dies. The whole company will go to hell. :(

    just a little off subject....

I was doing a little reading the other day and discovered that the the second ingredient in CFA's waffle fries (second to potatoes) is BEEF FAT.

Err. They fry them in it. Not much more to french fries than potatoes and grease.

Jesus rose from the dead on what we celebrate now as Easter Sunday. That has nothing to do with the 7th day of rest.

So that's what "Fry King" oil is, huh? Still, the concept of having anything to do with beef and cows is totally hypocritical. That is one of the reasons CFA got rid of the steak biscuit. Hey we sell MILK too!!! OMG!!
    :jawomg:

On another note... ever notice that the chicken sandwiches taste like they have crunchy peanutbutter on them? Think about it next time. They are fried in peanut oil. I always wondered about it before I worked there.
