Yeah, well you missed the point completely.
NO ONE seems to be preaching about NOT sinning. Everyone wants to preach on love.
And don't make your next statement something about accusing Christians of not loving.
Christians give more money to needy organizations then anyone else.

Didn't do too well in English, did we? Both are conjugated forms of the verb "to be".

Back to the franchise question. I imagine that they have certain guidlines on the appearance of the store too. If it was McDs you couldn't change the color of the big M, The menus over the counter have to be standard etc. If that sign is part of the appearence guidlines then he could be in violation of his franchise agreement.

My question is did he get a directive to do so? Did he act on his own in removing the sign?

I gotta believe that that sign is a required standard since, regardless of who owns the store, they are representing the Corp. as a whole and will be required to promote the Corp. ideals or get out. In the end this operation is really not his per say since they can revoke his franchise at anytime for cause probably with a penalty attached too.

    Just my .02.

Not all stores display the Corporate Purpose sign. The store I worked at in Matthews on Independence does not display it. So, I have a feeling it is not a required fixture by the corporate office.

Paul Xiong took it down and said "It only takes one person to ruin it for everyone". Did he mean himself? Or a possible hypothetical future customer. We (CFA employees) know the Corporate Purpose and we strive to show our customers every day with or without a sign saying so. To me, removing the sign from our front counter is like removing the big cross hanging in the front of a church's sanctuary. Everyone in the church knows why they gather there, with or without the cross to symbolize the fact that Jesus Christ died for our sins and whomever believes in him will not parish, but have eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Can anyone agree with this analogy? I mean, most of the kids at CFA see this sign when they enter for work each day and it's an integrity check. It's a reminder why they are there... not to just get a weekly paycheck, but to be a good wittness and role model to others.

Tonight is my first night working with Paul Xiong. Maybe I will sit down and talk with him and see what his business objectives are and his goals and vision for the business. Maybe I can try to figure this whole thing out and be a hero for everyone... and I can ride off into the sunset in the rolling purple pride parade.
