The thing about the Astros is they don't seem to get cranked up until after the All Star game.

y'all hear about the guy who caught two home run balls at that game the other night?

He caught Berkman's grand slam AND he caught Burke's walkoff homer that ended the game.

and he is donating them for four box seats to a playoff game and a visit to the Astros practice - seems like they would have been worth more than that

Why not like the Astros? They've got the underdog thing going for them. They are all nice guys - no jailbirds or wife beaters. The owner is a fine, up-standing man. For the most part, it's a fairly loyal team. And the first major league game that I ever went to was the Astros vs. Dodgers and went 22 innings. What an experience!

    Bitter much?

Not to mention - what's not to like about Roger? He's a hard worker. Gives all he's got for his team. Is a good mentor to the younger guys. So what that he's left a few teams. Beside Cal Ripken I can hardly think of any player in recent history who has been with the same team his whole career. I know that if I got a better job offer with a better company I would tell this hellhole that I'm in bye bye.

Apparently you didn't see him when he and his 12 chins showed up to spring training in 95 & 96.

And it wasn't that he left the Sox, it was the way he did it. Saying he wanted to win a championship and then signing with the Jays. Puhhhhhhhhhhlease! And then to top it all off he shows up in terrific fucking shape and dominates again. And of course the fact that he never thanked the fans was just the cherry on top.

reggie sanders had to leave the game last night after that nasty spill. he has been the man at the plate so far this post season for the cards. lets see how the heavily favored cardinals handle a little adversity and the houston pitching staff on the road.

Again, I ask you - Bitter much?

He's awesome to the fans in Houston, that's for sure.
