I want the Panthers to win games. I will not ever pull for any division rival no matter what the circumstances. Whatever happens, happens.

Please. Take your rah-rah delusions elsewhere.
I AM a fan of this team, and it's perfectly fine to wish for a better long term fix for your team.
Dropping 15 spots EACH ROUND just to say "Hooray ! we backed into winning this shit stain division with a losing record !" is fucking idiotic.
This team as it is built is NOT NEAR being a contender. It's NOT WINNING ANYTHING in the playoffs.
LONG TERM, It's better to NOT make the playoffs, and build for the future.

With the coaching staff that is in place we can have the first pick every year for 50 fucking years and it won't mean jackshit.

Intentionally missing the playoffs defeats the whole fucking purpose of getting good picks.

A playoff spot means you're in the playoffs. Period. A higher draft pick means you have a chance to get a good player, which may or may not translate to wins. It's ridiculous to turn down a playoff spot for that. There's no guarantee that picking 10 spots higher will help you become a playoff team. THERE IS A GUARANTEE THAT BEING A PLAYOFF TEAM HELPS YOU BE A PLAYOFF TEAM BEACUSE YOU ARE NOW OFFICIALLY A PLAYOFF TEAM WHETHER YOU THINK THE LEAGUE'S FORMAT IS RIDICUOUS OR NOT.

If missing the playoffs this year and landing a franchise LT were an assured correlation then I might bite my lip and tolerate the loss.

But this year, in the spot where we'll be drafting, there is NO sure thing franchise LT. There is Brandon Scherff who may be a solid RT, or even a G. There is Andrus Peat who has some physical talent but isn't dominant as he should be. Ditto the guy Oguebehi from A&M...
