So, you think Michigan would still take Miles? They can dump Rodriquez. :drink:

They'll find some way to include OSU....since nobody seems to have figured out that the Big 10 isn't a powerhouse conference anymore.

It's light years ahead of the ACC still so if anyone is advocating removing BCS status than the ACC needs to go first. I hate everything about Ohio but the OSU/Big 10 bashing is way out of hand.

I'd rate the Big 10 on a par with the ACC. Both conferences suck at football atm.

I don't think you can accurately judge the strength of a conference on one season alone. The ACC has been down for several years. The Big 10 was pretty strong in recent history.

No they are nowhere near as low as the ACC on the power scale. And I'm not bashing OSU. I just think that the pundits give the Big 10 the benefit of the doubt a little too often based on history. Penn State was clearly not very good, but cracked the top 25 for awhile. Michigan wasn't very good overall and stayed in the top 20 for awhile.

I just think the Big Ten is overrated by some old guys who hearken back to a time when the Big Ten was strongest or near the top of football.

Teams always get rated higher than they should be/end up. Look at South Carolina and Boston College. South Carolina was like 7th and BC 5th. It's a working ranking system that corrects itself.

Yes, I realize it is. But for every team that moves down somebody has to move up.

And you can't say that being in the Big 10 doesn't weigh in to some of the presaeason rankings. I'm just saying it shouldn't.

I don't fully understand how the BCS system works, but an Ohio State team that only beat 1 top 25 team ends up ranked in the top 5....there is something wrong.
