Whats worse...top seceret information, that supposed to stay private in the court of law, leaking, or the fact that Bonds took roids. We all knew it w/o any "court" evidence...its just sad that our court system can't keep anything private anymore.

Frannie...I agree that roids keep your body in shape (with workout regimen of course), but SHOW ME PROOF that roids help hitters make contact, put bat on ball. Also show me proof that Bonds was a worse player before he allegedly juiced.

I am not saying Bonds is clean, but I am saying that his talent level has not dropped significantly, if at all. Talent. Not strength. I think we all agree he is stronger by some method.

Tainted the game? bonds is the FIRST GUY to ever use an edge? Bonds is the first guy to cheat? Gaylord Perry in the Hall. Cheater. I am sure there are others who did things against the rules, never got caught and are in Cooperstown now. Doesn't make it right, mind you, but this mindless persecution of Bonds has to stop. He is a jerk. He acts like an ass. The man flat out plays.

Hate the game, not the player.

his power numbers are up...did 33 HR SUCK? No. He still steals bases (stole at the time). The guy is a stud. Roids did not jack up his talent, just the long ball.
Besides, when his sac shrinks smaller than a raisin, and he kicks the bucket 20 years before his time, we'll know then, won't we?

Bonds hasn't been found guilty of anything yet . If it comes out that he was on roids, he can have his records but there needs to be an asterisk. Most people will discount the record anyway. All that said, it's still damn hard to hit a 90 mph fastball, no matter how juiced you are.

hitting half the homers does in fact make him a worse player - doesn't mean he sucked in 95 but damn, I don't think anyone's turning down 40 more homers.

Ty Cobb cheated all the time, prolly the nastiest player to play the game. Used to sharpen the spikes on his cleats, so when he slid into 2nd, he would put his feet up to cut the guy trying to tag him, and if that wasn't bad enough...this was back when someone slid into a base, a dirt cloud would form, and you had no idea what the hell was going on...he would pick up hand fulls of dirt, and when he slid in, he would throw it in the guys eyes, trying to tag him.

Sure people cheat, but with drugs? Cmon. Its a catch 22 now. We dont know when he started, if he started or none of that. I personally dont think putting the bat on the ball is hard. Especially when thats your life for 15 years, and thats all you train for.

    New question.

Giambi testified because one, they offered immunity, and two, they were going to indict him if he did not give this testimony.

    Now comes the kicker.

Bonds has testified. What did he testify? If he denied taking roids, will they indict him? Or give him the same deal?

I wonder how NY will tear Giambi for this. He's already a tumor to the team jsut sucking up money, and now people know he used roids to make him better. Now that he's off of them he sucks and even got a tumor from the shit. no way in fuck the yankees can dump giambi on someone else now.
