Couldn't help clearing my throat whenever I heard Fox talk, here we go again. Did they tear down that old Giants stadium because of asbestos or something?

Dave Gettleman: "There are pieces here that are critical to building a championship team, no doubt about it, just have to fill in the gaps."

Speaking of general managers, it's crazy to me that today was the first time I noticed someone in the media mention Ozzie Newsome. He hasn't been immune to the occasional mistake (Kyle Boller), but I strongly believe he's the best GM in the NFL.

I hear him mentioned a little but yes. He's been doing it right for so long yet often gets overlooked.

I think there's a media-fueled perception that Ray Lewis runs the entire Ravens organization, plus Ozzie isn't the type of guy to self-promote.

Unlike Polian, yeah. But in the midst of all the recent furor over the Rooney rule it seems like more media members might have noticed this amazingly successful black GM and covered that. For an organization to be good year after year after year, they need a great general manager and/or a great quarterback. The first three seasons after moving from Cleveland were rocky, but since then it's been almost constant success. Plus, I love that he's not only good at evaluating players but also has the people skills to develop a loyal and talented staff to work for him.

I think both GMs in this game are outstanding. Hopefully we get something even close to that level with Gettleman.
