ok, so he only pitched 8 shutout innings and allowed 5 hits. but i nailed it on the 5 k's.

pretty close...Hampton and Smoltz combines for a 5 hit shutout. Asheville native Charles Thomas continues to impress, 2 HR's.

    Braves win, 4-0...

i love this guy. the most impressive thing was him taking the ball away from andruw in the gap. i've never seen anyone beat andruw to the gap. now i didn't see where they were positioned on the play, but damn, i liked that alot.

maybe its just the #, but i like this guy.

ps....i think he is the love child of manny ramirez and furcal. anyone else?

I guess the Phils are wondering why Hampton didn't make the all-star team.

Thomas is going to be a player it appears.

What do the Braves do when Giles gets back? I would hate to see Greene go to the bench, but I don't think you want Chipper back in the outfield. I wonder if Giles or Greene can play first?

green makes a nice reserve and pinch hitter. thats what happens when giles gets back.

i have a feeling they are working chipper at 1st base. wouldn't surprise me to see him over there this year. its a pretty simple move for a 3rd baseman.

That's one thing I was thinking.

Move Chipper to first, Greene to third, with Furcal and Giles up the middle.
