    Gerber was supposed to be the starter in net but Ward has played great. Is it feasible for the Canes to carry both next year or do they have another Goalie in the minors and could trade one (I would say Gerber only due to age) for something

    Ward's 25-save shutout marked the first goose-egg for a rookie in the finals since Patrick Roy blanked Calgary 1-0 in Game 4 of the 1986 finals.

    I dont see any reason for them to move Gerber. Those 2 are a solid 1-2 tandem.

    Gerber had a big year during the regular season, and honestly, I think he was just tired when the playoffs started. he had never (as far as I can remember) been asked to play that many gmes in a season in his career. Ward needs to be locked up long-term, IMO.

    I wouldn't pursue a trade is what I meant (if he is still a Canes property, which apparently he is not).
