    Yep. I'm not too happy about that. I'm going to the beach in August for a week or so. Was planning on taking 4 or 5 with me. Looks like I'll be finished with 4 and waiting on 5. :banghead:

    And Martin is a very slooowww writer. He has a lot of other things going on, so it takes him awhile to finish a book...that and he is a perfectionist (which is why the books are so damn good).

    Because it takes him so long to write a book, I've actually stopped reading the series until it is complete. There will be a total of seven books in the series, and at his rate of writing, it could be another 5-6 years or so before it is done.

    Martin has nearly finished the fifth installment, but won't complete the seven-book cycle until 2011.
