    Yep. Know exactly who you mean. If you've ever watched the show "Little People Big World" (my kids love it), the midget is great friends with the midget dad. He always refers to him as his "movie star friend."

    BTW, anyone who likes George RR Martin should also try Greg Keyes, Kingdom of Thorn and Bone series. Blatant rip off but entertaining none the less.

    sly may be a mouth breathing, asshole dookie but he does have good taste in literature. :bow: Those Keyes books were top notch.

    50 Pages left in the 1st book. A+ stuff here. It got better and better. I basically read from 8 - 11 last night. :coffee2: Can't remember who said it...but you're right. The author has NO problem offing major characters. I've been shocked a couple of times...especially the big one.

    Hell, I actually shouted out loud a few times. Makes it a tad risky to read these in public places :smile:

    Of course, that's how I discovered the books in the first place--being around someone who read them on smoke breaks at work.

    I was finally able to buy the first book in this series, started reading it over the weekend..GREAT read so far..I had to skip the rest of this thread, so I don't hear of what goes down.
