Geometry Wars 2 Evolved

Absolutely nuts. Hands down one of the best new retro-style shooters. It looks a bit like a flashier neon version of Asteroids; everything in the game is based on fairly simple wireframe shapes.

It starts off tamely enough but eventually gets ridiculously insane. The longer you can survive the higher your multiplier gets and the fatter your score becomes. You start out with three Bombs you can use as an Oh-Shit button to clear away an impossible situation, and you can get more by scoring high. Once you run out, you're on borrowed time.

Eventually the screen fills with so many pyrotechnic fireworks and neon Lucky Charms you can barely see, and you die. But it's fun seeing how much longer you can survive little by little with practice.
