    Simple

Let's end all this up and down. Charge $10.00 a gallon. State gets $2.00 Fed get $3.00. Arabs and Big Oil gets the rest.

There used to be one gas station that did the 2 prices (one for cash, one for credit) however that one closed down a while back. The remaining gas stations just show one price on the billboard and on the gas pumps and I always pay with credit. Now if I SAW a cheaper price with cash, I'd be paying with cash but it seems the price posted on the billboard is the 'credit' price and if you pay cash - you don't get a discount. So they make money either way.

That's a lot of words to use and not have a point at the end.

Gas prices are the highest they have been since last year sometime before the bottom dropped out of the economy. Consumer spending in September went in the shittier, worst in nine months. If the Government had not been pumping money into the economy we would be in one hell of a depression. With gas continuing to go up and the Government money coming to an end economic recovery will be ten years away. I can't believe the oil companies are so willing to jack up prices and cut production when things are so bad.
    God save America.
