I say there's nothing left to do but call Father O'Malley, the exorcist.

something is eating the shit out of my basil leaves and also green pepper leaves. all i can see in the plants are little black ants. now i've seen a shit pile of rabbits lately and of course there's the mysterious hole digging creature i have as well. got ants all around my tomato plants, but so far nothing is eating those leaves.

on the bright side, i planted my tomatoes where they get a shit pile more sun and i've got alot more tomatoes growing. might actually be able to eat one in about 3 weeks. i'm excited and shit.

After setting a mousetrap and drawing blood from it last night I just came face to face with him tonight. It's a rat, not a mouse and I think the trap is too small. He hobbled accross the drive way and stopped to look at me before hiding in some sort of tropical like plant. I trid to jab him with a branch but he hobbled off into the more wooded area.

He's also been eating some poison I set out so maybe thats why he looked like he was tripping. His days are numbered.

You need a 22/250 for the ground hog. Nosler ballistic tips works well on the critters.

so far the moth balls are working, nothing has been touched. just a while ago, i saw 5 deer come out of the woods right beside the garden. They didn't even look at it.

Grow grow grow. I have 10-15 tomatoes so far, with the largest about the size of a golf ball. Already pulled some pepper. Squash in about a week. I wish I had gone larger. The reason I didn't is because when it quits raining (and it will), I really don't have a way to water it without possibly sucking my well dry. We're still in a severe drought.

That reminds me of a guy about 20 years ago who asked me how I could tell if it was a green snake. I said by the shape of his head.
