Its worth buying and I probably will. I can't recall a more menacing villian in quite a while - if ever. The butcher is so freak'n brutal its awesome.

Spoilier - DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT!
That scene where da butcher buries the mullet in the guys back and then bashes his brains in with the "notched" cane was freak'n awesome. You don't turn your back on dude like that. :D

Just watched it last night. I agree with y'all - Daniel Day-Lewis is fantastic.

And I didn't mind the ending. They all got what was coming to them.

I rented this last night. It was pretty gory in that first fight scene, so i turned my head and played on the computer and mostly just had it on as background noise but i'm going to watch it before i have to turn it back in.

what? Pseudohistory and 3.5 hours of dicaprio mugging. and 10 sec of dicaprio banging diaz against a column. Other than that it was a mad max movie set in the 1800's whoopi. pre de-evolution I must say really original; damn I wish I had thought of it. next they should do soylent green set during the french revolution that should be an original concept too. Movies have gotten worse than early 50's kids tv.
