    Agreed. OL has been awful and Newton can move. Smelley will get about 1/2 the snaps this week...still want to use the Wofford game to get him more pt.

    Syvelle Newton is starting the game for sure. I'm sure Smelley will still play a lot. Still really weird that Newton is the QB. Is he the guy from Marlboro County who was suppose to be SC's version of Chris Leak in High School but never panned out or was that Demetrious Summers

    Summers was the #1 RB in the country (some had him #2) coming out of high school. The kid loved weed...AND...SURPRISE...was lazy as hell.

    Newton was a QB coming out of Marlboro. He was all world...but a running QB. When Spurrier got to USC he moved him to QB. With our line being as shitty as it is, this is probably a good call.

    Newton is VERY cocky. Has a STRONG arm and is a 4.45-4.5 speed guy. The hope is he won't hesitate to audible...can escape the rush...and will throw DOWN FIELD passes. He's also been given the green light to run if need be.

    Freakshow, if you ever have extra tickets and looking to dump them, let me know...except for this weekend. It's been years since I've been to a game, but I would love to attend one again.

    Man, to park in the Fairgrounds, smell all the food from the fair, tailgate and go to a game. Well, I forgot how much fun that would be.
