it's a nice idea but yeah, not only is it a separate server but it's a great imposition to ask of Larry.
Besides the headaches of the daily "me and my friends want to play this at this time" "no, my friends and I want to play this at the same time" and so on constant hassle it'll be if it were to come about.

well, i (or someone else) could set it up and we could test it out for a day or so to see how the performace is. i've got no idea about how much those things pull on a system. but, if you guys say it won't work, i'll take your word for it.

yeah, i have no idea how these things work. i just remember larry saying something about having our own server for the new board. that sounded like a dedicated machine or some such setup.

just out of curiousity, how IS the board set up?

yeah, i'm talking more about where it is, what kinda machine is it on, what kinda connection to the net, etc. is larry paying for the machine or the connection or a slice of time/bandwidth... that kinda stuff.

and that's at a remote site, yeah? do you have to have a guy do things on it, or can you remotely manage the whole system? is it windows or linux?

at this point, i'm sorta just curious more than anything.

what kinda bandwidth are we using here?

My friend runs XBC, (XBOX connect) and it pulls pretty hard...he has several dedicated servers.
