with the server move and such, i'm wondering if it's possible to run TBR game servers. i don't really know anything about how TBR is hosted, tho, and what it would take to host.

but it would be pretty sweet to have our own TBR server hosting games like quake or counterstrike or whatever else.

hey larry, how would this fit into the TBR scheme?

it'd cost out the ass to run a server of that speed

From what I hear, there is no shortage of ass around here so it should be fine.

It's not a logistical possibility to share a server with a message board, both in terms of bandwidth and cpu load, even if it would work the latency would be so hellish... Imagine playing Halo or CS with strobe like framerates

I have no idea what arrangement Larry has, but you basicly need a dedicated server and some dedicated bandwidth.

theoretically its possible, but it'd take a HELL of a server on a sweet ass line

not really, the bandwidth is more of an issue, counterstrike servers run great even on a p2 450, there aren't any graphics to display.

not when they are being used as a web server with hundreds of hits a day at the same time
