I've heard Shenmue II wasn't very good, I still haven't bothered to play it. I really get bored with Xbox because after you play and beat the good games, there's nothing on it that makes it worth having.

I thought Fable was way overrated. The story (or lack thereof) is terrible. At least in KotOR, you had a reason to keep going. In fable, there is no character interaction that is meaningful in the first 5 hours of gameplay. Morrowind is another good, openended RPG, but again the lack of purpose is damning to me. I liked Atari games, but at least there I had a score. If a game is too open ended, what's the point in playing?

shenmue II is awesome on the DC...I havent played it on the xbox, but I assume it's the same. The only reason you hear it sucks is because for the most part, people in America didn't "get it". It's set in Japan and China and follows that culture, so I guess people find it boring since you can't shoot shit in slow motion.

G4 even had it on a worst games ever list.

I'll probably check it out, I've been playing Samurai Warriors, which is pretty much just a DW rip off, but it is pretty good. DW3 is probably the best beat-em-up I've ever played.

I just received a ps2 I bought off of ebay for $44. I tried different disks, and only the audio cd's work...so that means it's just a laser adjustment/replacement I'll have to do.

there sure are stupid people on ebay.

gotta love buying a $40 network adaptor and having a hodge-podge mixture of online service based on what game it is, not to mention the junk controller that came out about 8 years ago on the ps1. And how much for a headset? And just how many games support voice comm. on pos2? For that $50, you're getting a headset and voice comm. in ALL live games. So to bitch about paying $50 when you need a $40 network adaptor and a $20-$30 headset that may or may not be supported in the game you want to play is ludicrous.

The S controller is damn near perfect, and the xbox live service is super smooth.

only fanboys or poor people complain about systems like this. I own both, and both have their strong points. I actually prefer to use the old duke xbox controller.
