    Welcome, NC
I don't know. Now I know who the worst team in the NFL is. Especially without Culpepper. I'm not saying we played badly, and yes, I'm thrilled we won. But the Vikings suck. We've still got plenty of room for improvement. I hope this game gives us confidence, but not illusions of grandeur. Tampa Bay next week will be not only important, but tell us if we are really getting better.

Vikes played badly, and were coaches horribly. No doubt. I worried about this being a big game for them when it certainly didn't seem to matter.

For all the worry I made about Pat Williams, he wasn't a huge deal. Maybe Mitchell's back on 'roids.

I would love to give Delhomme a game ball, but I think anyone who would didn't pay much attention to the game and only looked at the stats. I lucked into some tickets, and there were at least three different massive stadium groans when Jake threw a pass that absolutely should have been intercepted. One was the flea flicker tossed up into double coverage where Colbert made a great play just to make it an incompletion, another was a short pass over the middle that bounced off a linebacker's chest, and I forget what the third was. He definitely made some good throws, but I'm still concerned that he isn't eliminating those mistakes. He got lucky today.

Hell the front four were beast. Smitty is an obvious choice. The offensive line gave Jake lots of time and we cracked the 100 yards of rushing in what 5 or 6 games?

Yeah. I mean, the line, the D, the playcalling, nothing was all that damned bad.

I think of all the games we can sit back and bitch about things Jake has done, this isn't the one. Yeah, the flea flicker was tossed up for grabs. They all are. The thing is, Colbert still should've had that ball, but I don't blame him for not getting it. That would've been a tough catch, but it was there. So the condescending "anyone who doesn't shit on Jake doesn't pay attention" stuff aside, I was happy with Jake's performance. All of our QBs have made mistakes in good and bad games, whether we loved said QB or tolerated him because he was on our team.

Magnus, stop being a bitch for two seconds and listen to what I actually said. People who were at the game were groaning about Jake's bad passes, so unless one of those people says he deserves a game ball, I honestly don't give a shit whether or not you think he does. Moreover, I think you're objecting just because you're sore about being humiliated in the paper.

And no, Colbert shouldn't have had that ball. Colbert made a great play just to keep it from being intercepted, which it should have been. There was a collective "No!" from the stands when Delhomme threw it, and then a sigh of relief when it fell to the ground.
