That'd be more believable if you weren't one of those who had gotten so upset previously about being proven wrong. As it stands, I don't think you're exactly an objective judge. But sure, I'm an asshole, but at least I didn't lie about my ancestry in a rather pathetic and desperate attempt to make myself look like less of a loser. Well, at least you and Hammer have something in common. Something about me makes you feel so bad about yourself that it turns you into liars.

I think you know football, Collin. Never said you didn't.

But you are way to combattive when someone brings up a point that varies from yours. Case in point, your first ever words to me on this board were not, "Hey, let's take another look at this," or "Here's what I think." Nope, you dug right in:

Now, here was the statement that I originally made that made you a believer that I don't know football:

No. I didn't break down the nuiances, or X's and O's, of the argument. But it was a simple point I was looking to make. Our defense in 2002 played better, paticularly on 3rd down, than they have since. Moreover, we had the 31st ranked offense in the NFL. The defense had very little help in terms of playing with leads, or resting while the offense churns the clock. I was just hoping that, at some point in 2002, we could clean some things up defensively before we allow this perception that we are a "dominant defense" to continue.

And, yes. It is my opinion that JDR was missed after he left. It's a decent assertion to make, considering the drop-off in the run defense, and on third down. Was it all worse? No. But some of it was.

So, I was simply on there one day, just talking football with my pals on TBR. And here comes Collin.....insecure as hell....storming in and telling me, out of the blue, that I was not football knowledgable--when, IMO, the posts I had made suggested that I know enough football to talk about it on a message board.

    It's just perplexing.

Oh? You weren't lying about making a living covering football for the Greenville News?
And it wasn't any one post that made me convinced that you know nothing about football. It's all of them together. Post something knowledgeable (whether I happen to agree with it or not), and I'll be glad to revise my opinion, but until then you're still an insecure liar who is so obsessed with me and bitter about being humiliated that you're unnecessarily polluting a lot of threads. You just haven't shown any knowledge, and you should spend more time acquiring some than in obsessing over me. I'm not important. You should worry about yourself.

    1. I'm not upset about being 'wrong', hell I'm 'wrong' all the time about things, and am man enough, and open minded enough to admit it. I just think you come off as an ass, whether right or wrong. I post my opinion. Opinions are not necessarily right or wrong, especially in grey areas. I also don't find it usefull to argue my opinion over and over in such a way to damn well make sure I , somehow, am more correct about my opinion than everyone else.

    2. I really don't think any opinion I have here is relative to my ancestry when it comes to most things. Are you jealous about my ancestry? I brought it up once in NOTD in a relative discussion. The only reason I did such, was to point out where my opinion came from, from what perspective. I also have never lied about it either. What would be the point?

    3. The only thing I feel bad about is having to sift thru your self apointed authoritative opinioned 'factual' bullshit over and over and over on this here board, constantly, in most every thread.

    4. I'm not a liar. And I don't think you are either- or anyone else here for that matter. I wouldn't accuse any fan here of lying about their personal views and opinions on Panthers football. Again, what would be the point? Unless somehow, one percieves themselves of maybe being 'wrong' and losing an arguement, that's not really an arguement to begin with, unless you are of the minset that you are correct about everything, and everyone else is one, somehow wrong, and two, lacks any 'football knowledge' whatsoever.

It would seem to me, that many people have opinions about the Panthers, the NFL, et al, and guess what? They may have no football knowledge whatsoever, and it still doesn't make their opnions and perceptions any less valid.

I'll even go further and admit, Collin, that you may have a great deal of football 'knowledge'. More than even most on this board, However, that doesn't always mean your perceptions and opinions of all things football are enormously correct, and everyone else's are bogus.

You lied about who your ancestors were and what you knew about them in the immigration thread. And as for why you would do it, I suppose it was to make yourself feel special. As far as the rest is concerned, remember that you took it upon yourself to come in this thread and start shit up again. You have no one to blame but yourself.

And if you believe I somehow lied about it and call me on it, in total error, than you sir, are not just a complete think you knowitall ass, but you relavance now, means nothing to me. It really doesn't matter to me what you believe as far as where I come from. But since I know you feel that way, and all, congrats.

Have a good time on this here board posting to just yourself. It will come to a point that no one here will be reading anything you have to say on any matter with that kind of attitude.

edit: BTW, Collin. If you believe I lied about my ancestry, have no pics links or fact to back it up, then it would be your opinion, no? Then the statement in your post should read " I believe You've lied about your ancestry, because I have great geneology knowlegde", or whatever. After all, being so smart (I already have a Masters degree, buddy, for 20 years), but you somehow know my family tree better than I? Wow. See? That's why you come off being such an ass. It's just sad you like it that way, apparently.

But as usual, your opinion is somehow total truth. And again, thinking you're oh so right, you are so far from the truth it is pittiful. Sad, really.

Not really. I'm finding it hard to believe, for instance, that Capers screamed for the obvious line help he needed, for years, and Casserley ignored him to give him, instead, defensive line and defensive backs. Especially considering that Dom didn't put much at all into his offensive line in 97 and 98. If the team drafted shitty linemen, sure. If they took a chance that this or that would happen and it didn't, that happens. Happened to us a couple times in the last few years. But at no point can you hang neglect of a position solely on a GM when the coach is making the same mistakes he's made in the past.
