He was rusty, but I guess he just did better than I expected, given the circumstances,,,,, (coming back from injury, road game, no stevesmith, etc)

Offense -- Rosario! We called it! The power of Destinos!
    Defense -- Harris!
ST -- Kasay. and Dante Wesley for the hurdle.

Disagree on most but you have your vote and I have mine. I am agreed on that we threw the ball a bunch and I'm surprised we did. The run was working very well and it was a conservative game. In a field position/field goal game I'd have expected we'd have 40 runs not 40 passes.

And he was out most of last season and throwing to mostly new (to Jake) receivers. Looking at the big picture, he wasn't great by any means but given so many new faces out there with him after a year off, I'm not terribly upset.

Rosario had a pretty nice hurdle too. He's got great hands at least today. It's nice to have a TE that catches the ball again.

Give Jake some credit. He may not have lit up the Bolts but that come back was epic. Joe Montana struggled against the Bengals until that last drive when he won the superbowl.

I like what Jake did out there as a first real game. The Joe Montana thing was a bit over the top, FWIW.

Good point. Wesley deserves some mention for saving our asses on that idiotic Mike/Mark Jones fuckup.
Sure, but pretty much everyone in chat was in agreement about Jake's performance. That doesn't mean that you can't disagree, but obviously most people saw it one way.
Me either. We all knew that Jake was still rusty. He never should have been put in that position by Davidson.

I still don't get going away from the run when it was working so well. Especially when you have the lead and want to eat the clock up. Very odd. Be interesting to see run attempts 1st 1/2 vs 2nd 1/2.
