Hoover also had one of his best games. The line obviously deserves plenty of credit as well, and Foster seems to be getting lost in the mix.

Speaking of, Al Wallace was in danger of catching herpes from Mexico on that one play and still did not make the sack. What is up with that?

Everyone seemed to block well. Hoover was able to root a little bit of a hole. Mathis got some movement. We were nearly flawless blocking the sweep and I noticed Hoover taking out contain somewhat fiercely a couple times strongside.

They suck, we didn't this game, but for whatever reason execution was better. I don't understand it any better than I do why they seemingly took an entire month off from using technique.

manning would occasionally make those tackles, he just wasn't a cover corner worth the money Chicago paid.

I think Hoover blocks better out on the edge.

DW/Foster - Hard running; managed to make yardage when nothing was there. That's encouraging.

Defensive Line - Peppers was terrific, Jenkins was solid, Kemo made a few plays, and Wallace wasn't too bad. Anyone else see McClover make an ass out of Wayne Gandy? I'm excited about that guy.

Kickoff Coverage - awesome against Rossum

From top to bottom, this was our best defensive effort, and a lot of credit goes to the offense for finally converting 3rd downs. Good team win.

Yeah, Foster seems to be the forgotten man here - he made a lot of really tough runs without the gimmick* play.

    * Not really a gimmick, but whatever
