Game 2, Sox vs Cards, running game thread

If they can do it in football, we can do it in baseball.

    Sox vs. Cards, Game 2.

    Schilling vs. Matt Morris.

Schilling had stitches placed in his ankle to hold that tendon together 2 days ago. Can he perform another gutty performance tonight?

    Discuss.

I didn't see last nights game so I'm looking forward to tonight.

I see no reason why Schilling can't do it again bloody sock and all.

You wanna head over by me? If not, Midtown Sundries maybe? It's in the middle.

I really like James Taylor but I have heard much better renditions of the Star Spangled Banner.

He should have left the guitar at home and just sung it.

since my first post wasn't about the game - this one won't be either.

I think this dugout interview with the manager between innings is very cheesy. If I was a manager I would raise bloddy hell about it, and they probably did but I'm sure MLB told them it would be "good for the game"

also - what the hell are the dirt circles on each base line? They look like and are in the general vicinity of on deck circles - but these things are right next to the baselines. They just look out of place.

anyway - good game so far

Schilling pitching well - Pujols is getting lots of "I am the MVP this year" hits.
